Online poker has become a popular game, and it’s not just Texas Hold’em. If you’ve stuck to the classic games like Five Card Draw or Texas Hold’em you’re missing out. There is a wide range of options available to players today. Texas Hold’em Poker
Texas Hold’em comes first, of course. From its early days in the 90s, the community card-style game was at the heart of the industry. Texas Hold’em consists of four deals and four betting rounds. Each player is dealt two hole cards and the remaining action occurs at the center table. Omaha, another popular card game in the community, has a similar fanbase to Texas Hold’em. Omaha is different from Texas Hold’em because it has four holes instead of just two. Omaha Hi/Lo was inspired by its low-card variant. Omaha Hi/Lo splits pots between players with highest and lowest qualifiying hands.
Seven Card Stud Poker
Seven Card Stud is the oldest game being played in modern times. Seven Card Stud, unlike community card game where cards are often shared by players, each hand belongs to the player. Seven Card Stud poses a unique challenge to those players who are confident they can predict their opponent’s moves, since the hand of each player is always half visible. The five deal rounds are divided equally amongst the players. In the initial round, each player receives two cards with one facing up. There are then three deals with one face up card, followed by a final fifth deal that includes a 7th card. With the format of face-up cards and facedown cards mixed together, it is possible to continue using popular strategies like Bluffing. Seven Card Stud’s low-hand variant Razz is similar to Omaha’s low-card version. Razz follows the same rules as Seven Card Stud, with one exception: the player holding the lowest-ranking hand wins the game.
